What legal abilities does my child have?

Do you have a child aged 12-16?

Childred under 14 are not considered able, they have some abilities derived from the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, eg. freedom of peaeceful assembly means that a child can join an association without adult consent, their opinion must be considered seriously in case of a medical intervention or at parents’ separation. Once they reach 14, they are semi-able and thus have to be taken more seriously. For this reason eg. you cannot enrol your child in a school without his/her consent once over 14.
