In Portugal, there is not one meal that we can call the main.
Usually, we make three meals a day. Breakfast in the morning when getting up, lunch between 13 and 15h and dinner between 19 and 21h00. In some cases, we also make a small mid-afternoon snack.
All meals are varied and different from one person to another. Breakfast is the continental type, lunch usually consists of soup followed by fish or meat dish, and dessert. Dinner is normally the same.
The Portuguese are fond of tasty food and good wine. One of the most appreciated fish dishes is cod, which can be cooked in 1001 different ways.
