Obligations of parents or guardians, in school:
1. Parents or guardians have a special responsibility inherent in their power to direct the education of their children and learners in their interests and to actively promote their physical, intellectual and civic development.
2 - In accordance with the responsibility referred to in the previous number, each parent or guardian shall, in particular:
a) Accompany actively the school life of its student;
b) To promote the articulation between the education in the family and the education in the school;
c) To ensure that the student effectively benefits from his / her rights and strictly fulfills his / her duties, in accordance with the Student Statute, with correctness in his / her behavior and commitment in the teaching process;
d) To contribute to the creation and execution of the educational project and the internal rules of the school and to participate in the life of the school;
e) To cooperate with teachers in the performance of their pedagogical mission, especially when requested to do so, collaborating in the teaching process of their students;
f) To recognize and respect teachers authority in the exercise of their profession and instill in their children or learners the duty of respect towards teachers, non-teaching staff, and school colleagues, contributing to the preservation of discipline and community educational harmony ;
g) To contribute to determinate the facts fully in a disciplinary procedure instituted to its student, participating in the acts and procedures for which it's notified and, being applied a corrective measure or disciplinary measure, to ensure that it pursues the objectives strengthening their civic education, balanced development of their personality, their ability to relate to others, their full integration in the educational community and their sense of responsibility;
h) To contribute to the preservation of the safety and physical and psychological integrity of all those who participate in the life of the school;
i) To actively integrate the educational community in the performance of its other responsibilities, in particular by informing and taking note of all relevant matters in the educational process of its students;
j) To attend the school whenever it proves necessary or when requested to do so;
k) To know the Statute of the Student, as well as the internal rules of the school, subscribe to the annual declaration of its acceptance and active commitment to its full compliance;
l) To compensate the school for damages caused by its student;
m) Keep your telephone, mailing address and electronic contacts constantly updated, as well as your student's, when different, informing the school in case of change.
3 - Parents or caregivers are responsible for the duties of their children and learners, especially regarding attendance, punctuality, and discipline.
