Homophobic and transphobic harassment and violence against LGBT people are crimes and if you are the victim of such a crime you can report it to An Garda Síochána. LGBT people are entitled to the same protection and professional service from the Gardaí as everyone else in the community and the Gardaí endeavour to provide this to LGBT people at all times.
If you call the LGBT Helpline, our volunteers will listen and provide you with support if you have been the victim of a homophobic or transphobic crime.
