There is a nationwide obligation to graduate parental contributions socially. The amount of the contributions depends on the income of the parents, the number of children in the family and the amount of care. If necessary - for example, if services are purchased under SGB II, SGB XII or AsylbLG - the costs can be covered by the youth welfare office in whole or in part, so that parents do not have to pay anything. Siblings of children often do not have to pay the full amount.
