There is no compulsory vaccination in Germany. But you are strongly advised to follow the vaccination recommendations. There are plans for a compulsory vaccination concerning measles. Some vaccinations have to be refreshed in adolescence - between the ages of 12 and 17 - to ensure that the best protection against the disease remains.
Girls and young women aged 9-14 years are advised to develop anti-human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine that may later cause cervical cancer. If the vaccination has not been made until the age of 12, it should be made up as soon as possible until the age of 18 at the latest.
