When enrolling for primary school you have the choice between a state or a private primary school. There is freedom of choice for the kindergarten place. It is regulated by law that every child must have a kindergarten place available. However, it may be that there are no vacancies at the desired location and then another kindergarten has to be chosen.

When enrolling for primary school you have the choice between a state or a private primary school. The registration in primary school usually has to be made in the responsible primary school in the school district in which the child has his residence. If there is no space available at the school near home, the nearest school is chosen or a place at a school is assigned by the school board.
