During pregnancy and after birth you are entitled to care by a midwife or a doctor.

As soon as you know that you are pregnant, you should go to a check-up every four week, even every two weeks from the 32nd week of pregnancy.

If a mother cannot or does not want to keep her baby after giving birth, hospitals offer anonymous birth. The mother's data are not recorded at birth, but the pregnant woman has the opportunity to give birth to her child under medical supervision. The child is either handed over to foster parents or released for adoption after an eight-week period.

Another possibility is to deliver the baby in a so-called Baby-Klappe (baby flap). The offer is anonymous, which means that the mother does not have to speak to anyone and does not have to give her name.
