How can I ensure that my child gets regular check-ups?

Preventive check-ups for children are benefits that are paid by the health insurance companies in Germany. This also applies to preventive check-ups for children of asylum seekers.

The check-ups and vaccinations for children are written in the so-called "yellow booklet". You will receive the yellow booklet after the birth of your child at the maternity clinic or from the midwife. The booklet shows the scheduled study periods, so you can add these dates to your calendar. However, it is your responsibility to arrange the appointments. You will not receive any reminders or requests for the check-ups.

The Federal Center for Health Education offers an appointment calculator on its website, with which you can calculate all the check-up dates and print them out after entering the date of birth of your child: www.kindergesundheit-info.de/themen/entwicklu
