In Bremen, mother tongue education in schools is provided by teachers of the Senator for Children and Education and by the consulates. Throughout the city there is mother tongue education in schools for the languages Turkish, Polish, Russian, Kurdish and Persian. Native language consular education is offered for the languages: Greek, Turkish, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Serbian.
