State of Bremen
In Bremen there are kindergartens that are bilingual. In addition to German, languages such as English, French, Chinese, Spanish are spoken.
Language schools and the community college (Volkshochschule) also offer language lessons for children from the age of 3 years.
In Bremen, native-speaker instruction is provided on teachers of the Senator for Children and Education and on offers from the consulates. Throughout the city there are mother tongues in many schools for the languages Turkish, Polish, Russian, Kurdish and Persian.
Native language consular education is offered for the languages: Greek, Turkish, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Serbian.
