In Bremen, native-speaker instruction is provided on teachers of the Senator for Children and Education and on offers from the consulates. Throughout the city there are mother tongue education in many schools for the languages ​​Turkish, Polish, Russian, Kurdish and Persian. Native language education by consulates is offered for the languages Greek, Turkish, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Serbian.

At many schools in Bremen pupils can choose Russian, Polish or Turkish as a second foreign language.
