Parents have to pay contributions for child care. The contribution is depending on the institution (municipal, confessional or private institution, parents' associations, childminder / father of the day). There is a nationwide obligation to graduate parental contributions socially. The amount of the contributions depends on the income of the parents, the number of children in the family and the amount of care. If necessary - for example, if services are purchased under SGB II, SGB XII or AsylbLG - the costs can be covered by the youth welfare office in whole or in part, so that parents do not have to pay anything. Siblings of children often do not have to pay the full amount.
For more information about the amount of the contributions please ask the youth welfare office or the care facility on site.
Baden-Württemberg: You have to pay parental contributions for care in a daycare center, which vary by region and / or depending on the institution. If you cannot afford to take care of your child in a daycare center because of your financial circumstances, you can contact your youth welfare office.
Depending on the individual case, you can request that the fees are reduced or that they are taken over completely (https://www.service-bw.de/web/guest/leistung?p_p_id=details_WAR_suchegui&p_p_lifecycle=0&p_p_col_id=column-3&p_p_col_pos=3&p_p_col_count=4&p_r_p_-358194435_id=82&p_r_p_-358194435_t=leistung&p_r_p_-358194435_title=Kindertageseinrichtungen++Gebuehrenermaessigung+oder+Gebuehrenbefreiung+beantragen&_details_WAR_suchegui_tab=0
