The principle of civil liability is that any person who causes damage to someone else has to repair it. As far as the minor child is concerned, it is his father and mother (or his guardian) who are responsible for the damage he or she causes. Regarding criminal responsibility, a specific justice system has been established for minors. Minors in conflict with the law are considered to have no criminal judgment regarding the acts they commit. However, from the age of 16, a child may be referred to an adult court.
