Yes, hospital treatment is covered by the basic health insurance in full or in part. Please check with your mutuelle/mutualiteit before incurring any expenses as extra costs/fees may apply depending on the hospital (public or private) and the doctor. It is possible to get an additional private insurance or hospitalisation health insurance with the mutuelle/mutualiteit to cover some of these costs. Please check with CPAS/ OCMW if it can be covered.
