Yes hospital treatment is covered by the basic health insurance in full or in part. Please check with your mutuelle before incurring any expenses as extra costs/fees may apply depending on the hospital (public or private). It is possible to get an additional private insurance or hospitalisation health insurance with the mutuelle to cover some of these costs.
