Every child has the right to an educational environment complementary to his or her family environment. Whatever the child's needs, every child is welcome in a host environment, provided that the parent of the child organizes himself/herself so that the child can benefit from a stay in a nursery/creche that do not require medical devices that a host environment cannot provide. In order to know if the host community will develop the necessary resources to take charge of your child, a preliminary meeting with the person in charge of the structure is essential.
Unlike other children, a child with a disability also needs special care and/ or attention due to his or her physical and psychological status, with or without psycho-social problems. In some situations, the host community team can rely on the help of a specialised services professional to provide appropriate care for the child.
It is also up to the parents to decide whether they want to see their child attend a "classical" or specialised daycare.
